    EQUINE EMERGENCY RESOURCES

Emergencies happen - horses fall off a trail, get stuck in mud, trapped in a trailer in a highway collision.  No one wants to see their beloved horse in that situation, but if it happens - where do you turn for help?  We have seen too many cases where the only option has been pleaing for help on Facebook and hoping to find trained professionals and equipment to assist you in the rescue.  Sometimes help is not found quick enough, resulting in casualty.

Oregon Horse Country is working to change this.  Not only are we offering intensive 2-day Technical Emergency Large Animal Rescue courses each year, we are compiling a resoruce list (below) of trained people and equipment across Oregon and Washington.  Please check back often as we are always updating this list and SHARE this everywhere you can.
